Where were you born? Furth Byron, West Germany
What was your highest level of schooling? 12th
Grade.
Were you placed in special classed due to your mental state?
Yes.
What was your relationship with your parents like?
Not good. They had military backgrounds and me and my dad never talked and I ran
away a lot.
Was you ever abused as a child? Yes, I was beat up a
lot when I was a kid. I was labled as mentally retarded.
Why did you go to California? To meet girls, and the
weather.
How did you get to California? I hitch hiked to
Redondo Beach.
Where did you stay when you got to California? I
stayed on the streets.
How did you meet William Bonin? hitch hiking.
What was your first impression of him? He was nice
to me at first.
Describe your part in the Freeway Murders: I watched
Bonin kill a man, and I was forced to help get rid of the body. That's all.
When did you meet Vernon Butts and Greg Miley? I met
vernon Butts the night Bonin killed Steven Wells, I met Miley in jail.
What was your impression of them? They looked
creepy.
Why didn't you turn William Bonin into the Police? I
was told if I ran or called the police I would be killed.
How were you captured? Bonin told the cops where I
was from and they taped the phone and traced the calls.
What was you charged with? Murder. 1st Degree.
What is your sentence? 15 years to life.
How did you adapt to prison? Not very easily. Now
I'm used to it.
What do you do to pass time? Write letters and watch
TV and listen to the radio and study law.
Additional Comments? I would like everyone out there
to understand I am not guilty of murder. I never killed anyone, it is very
lonely in here, no friends, no family, so sometimes it hurts a lot. Especially
when you don't have anything.
