The Untold Story

It was February 3, 1980, it was a warm day for southern California during the mid hours of that day William Bonin the killer at large was to strike again. He was labled as the so-called Freeway Killer because he would leave his victims behind gas stations or near the freeways of southern California. Police were going crazy because the news media was hounding them asking questions like: Do you have a suspect yet, is this another victim of the freeway killer, all they could say was 'No Comment' because they knew the killer or killers were reading about the story and they would slip through the cracks again without being caught. On that day, William Bonin and his co-defendant Gregory Matthew Miley of Houston, Texas pulledover on a side street and picked up a 14-year-old by the name of Charles Maranda in West Hollywood. As soon as the youth was in the green Ford van, Bonin went into the back of the van with Maranda and sodomized him, when he was done, Miley wanted into the act so Miley also sodomized him. In pain the youth yelled out and Bonin got mad and decided to kill him. So just then Bonin tied up the youth with the aid of Miley and proceeded to kill him like his other victims, the victims t-shirt was put around his neck and the t-shirt was twisted killing a young boy again. As Bonin and Miley was twisting it, Bonin told Miley to twist it with the tire iron like in a corkscrew fashion, until the victim was dead. So then they dumped there bodys like trash and went to get another one. The next day at the early morning hours they observed a young boy named James Michael McCabe. He was only 12-years-old. They had talked to him and learned he was on his way to Disneyland, as they left Miley had started to drive while Bonin was in the back of the van with the youth, after the sex act that Bonin has, he strangled James and drove to Walnut California and dumped the body next to a dumpster.

Mileys history of crime went back to when he was a youth himself, in 1978 the Manhatton Beach police picked him up for running away. He had ran away with a retarded girl and became involved in a burglary which was on 4-24-78. Then his case broke. Miley had began singing to the cops and did not want to face the gas chamber, so he told his court appointed attorneys to make a deal for 25 years to life, and now Miley is serving a life sentence in prison for his role in the killings and appears before the parole board every 3 to 5 years and there comments are continue to get his education and stay disciplinary free. Miley's history in prison is sodomy, rape, so he continues to live the same lifestyle he did on the streets just waiting to get back out there so that he could pick up where he left off with Bonin. Who will be the next Bonin? There are many sick people out there just looking for someone like Miley to help kill people and the state of California is doing everything in their power to keep him in prison so that this does not happen again.
