Two Poems

Soldier of Fortune
Well we are soldiers of fortune,we'll never settle down
Ladies in white lace for us will always be around
Some narrow minded people say that we're and outlaw breed
But we are soldiers of fortune just trying to be free.
Soldiers of fortune and ladies in white lace
We live our lives the way we want and pay for our mistakes
Just remember all the hero's in the whole damn human race
Have been soldiers of fortune and ladies in white lace
Soldiers of fortune living hard and dying free
If you don't understand us, that's o.k. just let us be
We don't need your words of wisdom or your fake philosophy
We are soldiers of fortune just trying to be free.

Outlaw Blues
Too many log nights, left out in the storm
With no one to hold me or keep me from harm
They call me an outlaw and I guess that its true
Cause I get them low down outlaw blues
Now I've tried living straight, like good citizens
But I can't settle down, I've just got to move
The far away places, keep calling you see
Calling the outlaw, that lives inside of me
So like the blind fool, that we all sometimes are
I loaded my pistol and stole me a car
Sat out on that long road, with these thoughts in my mind
Good whiskey, good drugs, wild women so fine
Now it's life in the fast lane, with no turning back
Too late I realize, the deck has been stacked
With the law close behind me, I'll soon have to pay
I may die tomorrow, but I'll do it my way
Should you visit my grave, on some cold stormy day
You'll remember I lived, I loved and I paid
You may read on my tomb-stone, some win and some lose
and some just get them lowdown outlaw blues
Lord I got-um, them lowdown outlaw blues
