Between 1911 - 1919 in New Orleans, LA.  He would chisel out a panel of glass from the victim's back door in order to gain entry into the residence.  Most victims were Italian grocers.   He always used an axe and most of the time he would leave the axe on the victim's backyard.  Joseph Mumfre was believed to be the killer (one of the killers), however he was killed by the last victim's wife before he could be questioned.
