Rush To Judgment
"I think he is being sent up the river and I think we'll see him paddle back down...there's no law against being a hypocrite a few times in your life. And this industry (the media) is built on hypocrisy! Like I said I'm challenging the media tonight to empty their pockets!" Matt Drudge

The most popular radio show in the country - on more radio stations than anyone else, heard regularly by 20 MILLION people, Rush is having a rough week. First he was forced to resign from ESPN for some quasi-racist banter about a black quarterback. The next morning this story breaks about his drug abuse - specifically of pain medication. His ex-maid wore a wire while making drug buys for Rush.

Meet Louis Beshara and his wife, Gloria Rodriguez pictured above. The Florida couple are at the heart of the drug scandal now enveloping radio superstar Rush Limbaugh. Investigators allege that the duo illegally sold hundreds of thousands of prescription painkillers from a Palm Beach-area pharmacy they owned. According to a Palm Beach County Sheriff's search warrant affidavit, Beshara provided Hydrocodone, the powerful and addictive painkiller, to middlemen drug dealers like Joseph Coppola, pictured below, who then resold the pills to users. It has been reported that Limbaugh scored some of the Beshara pills via Wilma Cline, a former maid at the radio star's West Palm Beach mansion. Beshara and Rodriguez, who each face two felony drug trafficking charges, are free on bail, though Beshara is under house arrest.

"Rush is a great American," the president said of the
beleaguered host, who has championed the conservative movement for decades. "I
am confident he can overcome any obstacles he faces right now."
Meanwhile, the NATIONAL ENQUIRER is contemplating releasing on to the Internet
audio tapes of Limbaugh made by his former housekeeper. The ENQUIRER carried
allegations made by the housekeeper claiming Limbaugh bought prescription
painkillers off the blackmarket.
The NATIONAL ENQUIRER held back reporting on Limbaugh for nearly two years.
The tabloid's editors felt more confidence after police began an investigation.
